Lady of the Lake The Lady of the Lake presented King Arthur with the instrument of magic and power; Excalibur. Some say King Arthur pulled the sword from a stone and some say the Lady raised Excalibur from the lake herself and handed it to Arthur. Whichever story is true is of no concern for it is the Lake of the Lake that created the sword for King Arthur alone as a symbol of his kingly position and duty to mankind. How interesting that a woman if magic should create such a commanding tool for a king. |
